Welcome To My PageDecember 31 Thank You Santa Baby :)))))December 28 Saying "Goodbye" to my youth :(I've come to realize at the age of (gulp) 43 that I can no longer do the things I used to as a kid. My nephew begged me to ride his new scooter that was given to him as a Christmas present from Santa and did I turn that blue eyed special nephew of mine down?.........Nope, and boy did I ever pay for it! Not only do I have a broken pinky finger, bruised butt and a bruised shoulder....but my ego is severly damaged as well.....my childhood dare devil days are absolutely over!!!!! LOL
Don't laugh too hard!!!!!!
(by the way....thanks to my husband for laughing during and after capturing this "priceless moment")
The day after.........
December 27 RIP Judy, We Love & Miss YouRIP Judy, We Love & Miss You!
"It's the most wonderful time of the year" spending time with your friends and loved ones. This year was very bitter sweet. My dearly loved sister-in-law died tragically the day before Thanksgiving at the age of 37 leaving behind her 7 year old son and her husband (my brother) that unconditionally loved her.
Here's the story:
They were unable to concieve a child and was blessed with the adoption of Jacob Lee at birth. 3 months after his birth she knelt down on the floor to pick up a piece of grass and suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 30. The doctor's said her heart was so damaged that she would not make it through the night. Prayer all over the world had begun and to everyone's surprise she made it through the night but being that her heart was 75% damaged was in need of a heart transplant. She was an organ donor herself and through the love and sadness of another grieving family Judy recieved a donated heart. Terry and I raised Jake for the next 3 months of his life while his mother stayed in the hospital recovering and regaining her strength. She had several rejection episodes and was hospitalized for the next 2 years. After all of this her kidneys started to fail and needed a kidney transplant but the doctor at Baylor Hospital in Dallas said she would not survive the surgery due to her 90 year old body. She had osteoporosis due to the rejection medicine and was now at 4'9" and weighing only 80 pounds. She continued to survive for the love of her only beloved son and her husband for 7 years and having kidney dialysys for the following 4 years 3 days a week. Our Church members had always volunteered to take her to her dialysys and even though she had driven some she wanted to drive herself that day and do some Christmas shopping. After leaving her dialysys that day she took a pain killer and fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the line on the oncomming traffic and clipped an 18 wheeler. Her left arm (only good arm with veins) was severed in half. She was cohearant after being transported by careflight in the hospital and knew what had happened. They took her to surgery to complete the amputation but she flatlined for 45 minutes then shortly passed away. We had Jake that night and it was the most saddest day of my living life. We did not tell him as we knew he needed to hear this from his daddy. The following day all the men in our family gathered in a circle with prayer as Kevin told his son what had happened. Jake knew that his mother would reunite with her Savior but no one was prepared for the way it happened. Judy is now resting peacefully and has been reunited not only with her Savior but her Mother & Grandfather. Jake know's that he now has a special guardian angel watching over him~His beloved Mommy. And I must add that Judy herself recieving a transplant was a donor herself. She donated her eyes, skin and bones below her knee. I and all my family are donors as well after her heart transplant!
RIP Judy, We Love & Miss You
